That's so silly Asher

Some of you may not know that my nephew Asher is like a little sponge when it comes to things Uncle John and I tell him. I don't remember why or what made me think of it, but I decided to tell him about the dangers of lead. I wanted to put it into words that he could understand. So I told him if kids eat lead it will make them grow up to be stupid. He thought that was pretty funny!! On Halloween we took the kids trick or treating. Asher wanted to ride with us which was fine because he cracks me up sometimes. On the way back to church he asked if we wanted to hear a spooky story. I couldn't wait. So here is the spooky story Asher told us. "Once on a time there was a scary mean monster who gave all the little kids lead for candy, and then they got stupid,". Man that is smart!!!

My Dad part 2

Just wanted you to know that Dad's MRI came back normal. The first showed something on the stem of his brain, but the second one showed that it was just a shadow. We are still not sure what caused the seizures. They have put him on meds to keep them from happening again hopefully. He is coming home today and is feeling great. Thanks to all those prayers. God is wonderful!!!

My Dad

Last night I received a frantic call from my mother that my Dad had passed out and she thought he was having a heart attack. I arrived at their house a few moments later to find him on the kitchen floor with paramedics attending to him. My heart was heavy with the memory of the same phone call and trip to the same house when my Grandpa Allen passed away in my arms. I was so relieved to see him awake and somewhat alert. He even managed to sneak some sense of humor into the moment. The EMT asked him to smile, so he could check his facial muscles. Dad told him to wait. He thought they were going to take his picture! The only thing we know as of today is he had some seizures we just don't know what caused them. Possibly a stroke but they will run more tests in the morning. Please keep him in your prayers. And if you are able to hug and kiss your parents please take the time to do it.
